Very happy that my work has been selected for and included in the Corning Museum of Glass publication - New Glass Review 43 -
Words by curator Samantha De Tillio /
A site-specific installation, Double Down is in communion with its ecosystem. Mimicking the rhythm of the trees, the bundle of tubular glass and supporting steel armature is at once too large and too small for its environment. Super-sized fungi elevated above the forest floor or interstellar craft set down amid the shifting light and changing seasons and weather patterns. Embodying its surroundings, the work will accumulate various organic matter - spruce needles, condensation, algae, fungus - and become home to small creatures, a microcosm within a macrocosm, eventually succumbing to the natural cycles of life and decay.
A big thank you to the curators /
